| This piece was taken at Venice Pier near Sarasota in Florida and was a particularly difficult piece to create largely due to utilizing an extremely long exposure with an ND filter. This poses its own unique challenges when using this approach for large format photography as the time involved can mean that running out of light is a distinct possibilty, particularly at sunset. Nevertheless I managed to achieve the look I was going for which included the smoothing out of the ocean water so as to almost look like silk. |
